Mood: Dreamy, People, Street, Muted, Creative
Tokyo Dream is a dreamy, matte look and desaturated Fujifilm recipe based on the Classic Negative film simulation and fine-tuned for portraits, landscape and street photography use. If you fancy a more dreamy and moody look in your photographs, then this is one of the Fujifilm recipes that might be the one you’re looking for. Tokyo Dream features a blue, teal to minimal green tint when you are shooting overexposed. The use of diffusion will further enhance the dreamy effect of the entire image when shot in the correct lighting condition. Known as one of the most used Classic Negative recipes, this Fujifilm SOOC JPEG recipe is inspired by the green teal muted vintage Japanese film colour tone.
I like the green teal colour so I decided to create this recipe for Fujifilm fanboys & fangirls out there. Other than the travel recipes including Nomadic Mood, Summer Wanderer, and Urban Dream, this Tokyo Dream has its mood and it’s an ‘on-the-go’ recipe that you can select on your Fujifilm X-Trans IV camera for a quick shot. If you like some muted tone you can check out the Lomochrome Metropolis & Vision Obscura, which are created for streets as well. Not into muted tone? Check out the Carbon Obscura recipe, for a more saturated tone and vibes.
If you find your portraits or images look blurred, try to adjust the sharpness accordingly to 0. Once again, shooting with this recipe also depends on the lighting condition and exposure. This recipe is created for X-T4, X-S10, X-T30II, X-100V, X-E4 & X-Pro3 cameras.

The Tokyo Dream film simulation recipe is a carefully fine-tuned X-Trans IV recipe for use in portraitures, landscapes and daily life street scenes.
Yes, you can use it for the low-light or for night shoots just like the other low light film simulation recipes and it will yield great results.
Yes, you can use a diffusion filter for dreamy effects or any of your favorite lens FX filters for creative photography. It is alright if you don’t use one.
The Tokyo Dream recipe will look great when shoot overexposed but when you shoot underexposed you will get a different contrasty tone which you might also like. Just go out, have fun and start shooting. The good thing is, it works both ways!
Here I released the new recipe called ‘Urban Dream’. It has been a while since I create film simulation recipes as I was busy with my film photography projects and I know my readers and Fujifilm...
