What is the Kodachrome 64 Recipe All About?

Kodachrome 64 Recipe Color Simulation Recipe Fujifilm

The Kodachrome 64 color film recipe was inspired by the Nomadic Mood recipe and is fine-tuned to look like a vintage film roll. This recipe is created with the Classic Chrome-based film simulation.

Let’s get started with a bit of history about Kodachrome.

Kodachrome is an incredible film that was discontinued in 2009. The main reason was that most photo processing labs could no longer develop and print Kodachrome. However, with the rise of digital cameras, many people missed the incredible color saturation of Kodachrome.

In this article, we will look at how you can simulate the Kodachrome effect digitally with the Kodachrome 64 film recipe, although not technically the same as the original film.

Remember that this recipe is suitable for natural light sources. It is also made for people, street life, and so on. It is up to your imagination and your area’s lighting condition.

For Fujifilm X-T5 users, you can test this Kodachrome on the new camera. The X-T5 has the latest X-Trans 5 sensor, so the output might not be the same, but of course, there are no restrictions.
