The Fujifilm X-H2 sets a new benchmark for APS-C mirrorless cameras with its world-first 40MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR back-illuminated sensor. Designed to capture unmatched detail and color accuracy, the optimized pixel layout ensures that both still photographers and filmmakers experience superior image quality. Coupled with the powerful X-Processor 5, the X-H2 delivers lightning-fast performance, enabling features like 8K/30p video recording, enhanced autofocus, and black-out-free bursts of 15 frames per second. This new processor is also 10% more efficient than its predecessor, improving battery performance for longer shooting sessions.

For filmmakers, the X-H2’s native 8K video resolution offers incredible flexibility. You can record 10-bit 4:2:2 Apple ProRes footage internally at up to 8K/30p, and with the full-size HDMI Type-A port, you can output 12-bit Apple ProRes RAW or Blackmagic RAW footage to external devices. When using the F-Log2 color profile, the camera achieves a 13+ stop dynamic range, making it perfect for post-production work with enhanced flexibility.

The X-H2 introduces Pixel Shift Multi-Shot technology to the X Series, producing 160MP images by shifting the sensor across 20 frames. This feature is crucial for archival and commercial projects requiring maximum detail and color accuracy while suppressing moiré and false colors.

In-body image stabilization (IBIS) offers seven stops of compensation and an improved motion detection algorithm, allowing for stable images and video, especially during handheld shooting. For stills, the X-H2 captures full-resolution images at 15fps with a mechanical shutter or up to 20fps with the electronic shutter in the 1.29x crop mode. The electronic shutter also features an impressive 1/180,000 sec top speed, ideal for fast-moving subjects.

Connectivity is robust, with wireless image transfer through the Fujifilm Remote Camera App and up to 4K/60p for live streaming. The optional VFT-XH Wireless File Transmitter Battery Grip expands the camera’s functionality, adding tethering and FTP transfer capabilities while enabling multi-camera setups for professional productions.
